The New Dining Concept to Watch in 2023

arboleda at the Scottsdale Quarter is the New Dining Concept to Watch in 2023
Renown, Wolfgang Puck-trained chefs to focus on Mediterranean-inspired cuisine

Scottsdale, Ariz.–Oct. 22, 2022–The Scottsdale culinary scene gets an original addition with arboleda in January 2023. The first to experience it will agree that there is nothing like it at the Scottsdale Quarter. It is a dining concept that seeps in unique interpretations of the types of dishes served along the coast of Spain, Italy, Greece and Morocco.

At the helm of arboleda, are Mitchell Rosenthal, Steven Rosenthal and Björn Kock, longtime friends and culinary colleagues who have been running amazingly successful restaurants in competitive markets for years. Their resumes include working under Wolfgang Puck as well as at some of the most well-known restaurants in the U.S. They founded Town Hall Restaurant, their 20-year old landmark in San Francisco as well as Salt House and Anchor & Hope. Joining the trio as arboleda Executive Chef, is Evan Gotanda, the former Chef de Cuisine at Salt House, and a Le Cordon Bleu graduate who launched his career working under some of the best chefs in Los Angeles.

“Our menu will be rooted in Mediterranean coastal cuisine but borrow from an array of flavor profiles, making each dish an unexpected surprise,” says Executive Chef at arboleda, Evan Gotanda. “And because dishes are only as good as the ingredients that go into them, we plan to source exclusive items for arboleda, both locally and regionally.”

arboleda, which means grove in Spanish, has indoor and patio dining areas and every crevice of the restaurant has personality. The entire space is a beautifully designed dining room by top designer Mark Zeff. It oozes with charm, warmth & elegance. It is the perfect addition to the Scottsdale Quarter, where it will complement the local culinary scene while pushing the limits and offering something new and exciting.

“We believe that arboleda will quickly become a gathering place for locals and tourists alike,” says arboleda Owner and Operator Björn Kock. “It will be an ‘any occasion or special occasion’ destination because guests will be able to tailor their experience, from craft cocktails and small plates to a three-course meal.”
